American Psychological Association: Exercise and Sport Psychology, Division 47
Division 47 represents an exciting and quickly developing specialization that cuts across psychology and the sport sciences. Through the Division, scientists and practitioners with a common interest have the opportunity to interact and to further their personal and professional capabilities. Research interests of Division members include motivation to persist and achieve; psychological considerations in sport injury and rehabilitation; counseling techniques with athletes; assessing talent; exercise adherence and well-being; self-perceptions related to achieving; expertise in sport; youth sport; and performance enhancement and self-regulation techniques. The Division furthers the scientific, educational, and clinical foundations of exercise and sport psychology.
The British Association of Sport and Excercise Sciences
BASES is the UK professional body for all those with an interest in the science of sport and exercise. Sport and Exercise Science is the application of scientific principles to the promotion, maintenance and enhancement of sport and exercise related behaviours.
The North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity
The North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity is a multidisciplinary association of scholars from the behavioral sciences and related professions.
BPS Division of Sport and Exercise Psychology
The Division of Sport and Exercise Psychology represents the interests of psychologists working in sport and exercise settings and aims to further the development of sport and exercise psychology. It draws its membership from a broad range of psychologists including those working in academic settings and professional practice.
European College of Sport Science
the purpose of the College is the promotion of Sport Science at the European level. For that it is dedicated to the generation and dissemination of scientific knowledge concerning the motivation, attitudes, values, responses, adaption, performance and health aspects of persons engaged in sport. Sport means all forms of human movement which aims at expressing or improving physical fitness or mental well-being, forming or ameliorating social relationships or obtaining results in competition at all levels.
